Advocating for Make-A-Wish

as a Future Nurse Practioner

Cura Personalis

Cura Personalis—care for the whole person—is the value that grounds everything I do.

At my college, Loyola University Maryland, this Jesuit principle comes to life through an environment that prioritizes personal growth, mental wellness, and academic support. It’s a campus culture that taught me to see people not just for who they are in a moment, but for who they are becoming.

That belief was shaped long before college. As a Make-A-Wish sibling, I watched my brother endure three open-heart surgeries before the age of three. In those hospital rooms, I learned the power of compassion, presence, and hope—lessons that continue to guide my service and advocacy today.

Cura Personalis is why I aspire to become a Nurse Practitioner: to care for patients beyond charts and diagnoses, honoring their physical, emotional, and human needs. It’s also the foundation of my work as a Miss New Jersey contestant—using my platform to advocate for families facing medical uncertainty, elevate community service, and lead with empathy.

"Whether in a hospital room, a classroom, or on stage, Cura Personalis means showing up fully, leading with heart, and caring for every part of the person in front of me."

Make-A-Wish

After five open heart surgeries before turning three years old, my brother, Antonio, was granted his wish to meet the New York Giants. Inspired by the experience, I have made it my mission to grant wishes to other kids in need.
